Solicitor – Dispute Resolution – Cardiff – Hybrid

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Solicitor to join a highly regarded Dispute Resolution team based in Cardiff. Working within a specialist Housing Management practice, the successful candidate will advise registered social landlords and local authorities on a broad range of housing-related disputes and litigation matters across Wales and England.

This role would suit a solicitor with litigation and advocacy experience who is looking to develop expertise within a growing and specialist area of law. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, providing practical and commercially focused legal advice while managing a varied and challenging caseload.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a caseload involving tenancy enforcement, anti-social behaviour, nuisance and housing-related disputes.
  • Drafting court documents, preparing cases for trial and representing clients at hearings where appropriate.
  • Advising clients on housing legislation, homelessness matters and property litigation issues.
  • Negotiating settlements and liaising with courts, clients and external parties to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Supporting and supervising junior team members, including Paralegals, while contributing to team development.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with strong organisational skills, excellent client care abilities and the confidence to manage competing deadlines. Experience in litigation is essential, although candidates from a range of contentious backgrounds, including criminal or personal injury law, will be considered.
