Our client, a leading global financial services organisation, is seeking a Treasury Analyst to join their expanding UK Treasury team based in Brighton (4-5 days per week). The position sits within the UK Treasury function, which oversees day-to-day cash operations, manages client funds in line with regulatory requirements, and supports group-wide liquidity across multiple international entities. The team is currently delivering a programme to enhance systems (including GTreasury), strengthen controls, and streamline processes – so this is an ideal role for someone who enjoys contributing to continuous improvement.
Description
Cash & Liquidity Management
- Monitor daily cash positions to ensure operational and client accounts are fully funded
- Manage short-term investments, money market deposits, and cash pooling arrangements to optimise returns and minimise costs
- Oversee standing orders and direct debit arrangements
Payments & Banking
- Prepare and approve payments through online banking platforms and GTreasury
- Maintain bank account access controls and authorised signatory lists
- Build strong relationships with banking partners and coordinate KYC requirements
Foreign Exchange & Investments
- Execute spot and forward FX transactions to meet operational needs and manage currency risk
- Prepare FX reports and short-term multi-currency forecasts
- Invest surplus cash into approved instruments to maximise income
Profile
A successful Treasury Analyst should have:
- Previous treasury experience within a corporate or financial services environment
- Strong understanding of cash management, payments, and short-term investments
- Confident using treasury management systems (experience with GTreasury advantageous)
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
