Solicitor / Legal Executive – Licensing Law
Location: Torquay
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and capable Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join a highly regarded Company & Commercial team, with a focus on Licensing Law. Based in Torquay, this role offers the chance to work with a Legal 500-recognised team ranked among the best in the South West.
The Role
You’ll be managing your own caseload and working directly with clients across a range of licensing matters. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy, client contact, and contributing to the growth of a specialist practice area.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and submitting licensing applications
- Liaising with Licensing Authorities and Responsible Authorities
- Advising clients on licensing issues and regulatory requirements
- Handling queries and managing confidential information
- Conducting legal research and supporting colleagues as needed
- Playing an active role in marketing and business development initiatives
Requirements
Our client are seeking a confident and proactive individual who can hit the ground running. You’ll ideally bring:
- 1-5+ years’ PQE as a Solicitor or Legal Executive (or equivalent experience)
- A solid understanding of licensing law and regulatory frameworks
- Strong client care and communication skills
- The ability to manage your own caseload independently
- An interest in business development
