Pensions Managing Associate – Bristol

A leading international law firm is seeking a Managing Associate (6+ PQE) to join its market-leading pensions team. This is a newly created role offering a mix of contentious and non-contentious work, with high-profile clients across corporate sponsors, trustees, insurers, and overseas parent companies.

The successful pensions lawyer will advise on all aspects of pension arrangements including:

  • Scheme establishment, mergers, de-risking, and wind-ups
  • Trustee duties, investment agreements, and regulatory compliance
  • Pension litigation, trust-related claims, and rectification actions
  • Insurance product development and cross-border pension issues
  • Working closely with teams in London and Bristol, taking on significant responsibility and contributing to business development and client growth.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years PQE in corporate pensions from a top city or regional firm
  • Strong technical expertise across both advisory and contentious pensions work
  • Excellent academics and commercial acumen
  • A proactive approach to client relationships and business development
  • Collaborative mindset and flexibility to support wider team goals
