Description
- Manage the procurement of indirect goods and services.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers.
- Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers and negotiate contract terms of agreement.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
- Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure clarity of specifications and expectations.
- Promote a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
Profile
A successful ‘Indirect Buyer’ should have:
- A degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques.
- A good understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
