Clinical Negligence Solicitor – 3+ PQE – Cardiff/ Exeter
Location: Cardiff/ Exeter office
Hours: Full time
Salary: £45,000 to £65,000 DOE
PQE: 3+ years
Chadwick Nott are pleased to be working with a leading national law firm currently seeking an experienced Associate to join their Clinical Negligence team. This is a permanent opportunity available across multiple regional offices, offering high-quality work and excellent career development.
The Role
You will act for a range of defendant clients, including NHS Resolution, managing your own caseload and supporting on complex, high-value claims. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting clinical negligence claims and providing strategic, commercial advice
- Managing a varied caseload in line with client expectations and service level agreements
- Supervising and delegating tasks to junior fee earners
- Providing secondment support to key clients, both remotely and on-site
- Undertaking legal research and advising on new legislation and case law
- Participating in business development and delivering seminars and training
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified Solicitor with:
- At least 3 years’ PQE in clinical negligence or catastrophic personal injury
- Experience with defendant or claimant work; inquest or healthcare advisory experience is a plus
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and client care abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development
- Strong organisational skills and time management
