A leading Top 100 UK law firm is seeking a Solicitor to join its highly regarded Housing Management team within the wider Dispute Resolution department. Recognised by both Chambers and Legal 500, the firm has built a strong reputation nationally for delivering exceptional legal services across both public and private sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and growing team that is considered a market leader in housing litigation. Acting for registered social landlords and local authorities across Wales and England, the team advises on a broad range of complex and often high-profile housing management matters. Whether you’re newly qualified or already have litigation experience, this role offers the chance to develop specialist expertise within a supportive and progressive environment.
The Role
You will work closely with an established client base, providing advice on a wide range of contentious housing matters. The team’s caseload includes tenancy enforcement, anti-social behaviour, nuisance, criminal activity, housing disrepair claims, homelessness issues and matters arising from the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016. The role offers a varied mix of advisory, litigation and advocacy work, including:
- Managing a caseload of housing management disputes
- Drafting court documents, pleadings and applications
- Attending and conducting hearings
- Negotiating with third parties and legal representatives
- Providing practical, commercially focused advice to clients
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister (NQ+ PQE considered)
- Litigation and/or advocacy experience, regardless of legal discipline
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Interest in developing expertise within a specialist area of dispute resolution
- Applications are welcomed from lawyers with backgrounds in civil litigation, criminal law, personal injury, property disputes or broader contentious work
