Description
The Accounts Payable Team Leader’s responsibilities:
- Oversee the accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Manage and mentor a small team, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Review and approve supplier invoices and payment runs.
- Resolve discrepancies and liaise with suppliers to maintain positive relationships.
- Prepare and analyse accounts payable reports for management review.
- Support month-end closing activities within the Accounting & Finance department.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and internal controls.
Profile
A successful Accounts Payable Team Leader should have:
- Proven experience in accounts payable within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Previous experience managing or mentoring a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in relevant accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
