Description

The Accounts Payable Team Leader’s responsibilities:

  • Oversee the accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Manage and mentor a small team, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Review and approve supplier invoices and payment runs.
  • Resolve discrepancies and liaise with suppliers to maintain positive relationships.
  • Prepare and analyse accounts payable reports for management review.
  • Support month-end closing activities within the Accounting & Finance department.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and internal controls.

Profile

A successful Accounts Payable Team Leader should have:

  • Proven experience in accounts payable within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Previous experience managing or mentoring a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
