Description
- Oversee the financial management of assigned projects, ensuring budgets are adhered to.
- Prepare accurate financial reports for stakeholders and funding bodies.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and organisational policies.
- Collaborate with project managers to forecast and track project costs.
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making and project planning.
- Review and reconcile project accounts on a regular basis.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules related to projects.
- Support the wider Accounting & Finance department with ad-hoc tasks as required.
Profile
A successful Project Accountant should have:
- Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance.
- Experience managing project finances within the not-for-profit sector or similar industries.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
