Client Details
We’re working with a well-established and growing engineering/manufacturing business based in Hoddesdon, looking to appoint a Financial Controller to lead their finance function
Description
- Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts and year-end statutory reports
- Supervise AP/AR, payroll, and other core financial processes
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal controls
- Provide financial insight and support to the senior leadership team
- Liaise with external auditors, banks, and tax advisors
- Lead process improvements using Microsoft 365 tools
- Build performance dashboards and reporting tools using Excel and Power BI
Profile
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
- Experience in a similar role-ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong experience with financial systems and reporting
- Advanced Excel skills and confident use of Microsoft 365 (Power BI, Teams, SharePoint)
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities
- Detail-oriented with a hands-on, proactive mindset
