Client Details

We’re working with a well-established and growing engineering/manufacturing business based in Hoddesdon, looking to appoint a Financial Controller to lead their finance function

Description

  • Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts and year-end statutory reports
  • Supervise AP/AR, payroll, and other core financial processes
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal controls
  • Provide financial insight and support to the senior leadership team
  • Liaise with external auditors, banks, and tax advisors
  • Lead process improvements using Microsoft 365 tools
  • Build performance dashboards and reporting tools using Excel and Power BI

Profile

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Experience in a similar role-ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Strong experience with financial systems and reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills and confident use of Microsoft 365 (Power BI, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Excellent communication and leadership capabilities
  • Detail-oriented with a hands-on, proactive mindset
